The National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH) has a large database of professional counselors. However, not all therapists are familiar with the techniques and theories taught by NARTH. Make sure your therapist understands the emotional issues which foster same-sex attraction. The attractions are ONLY symptoms of other underlying issues. Interview your counselor before you begin therapy. Ask specific questions about their approach, success rate, personal beliefs, certification/licensure, etc.
